It's hard to believe so many jackasses on one of my favorite sites,
www.Hotair.com , are defending yet another prissy punk who wound up getting thumped by a cop after giving the officer a hard time.
It happened in Utah.
Here's the video.Hotair authors and posters claim to be "conservative" and "common sense" but most of them described this incident as police brutality, claimed there was no threat made by the man, and called the cop a thug.
Here's what the ignoramouses missed.
1) Being asked to sign a ticket is actually a courtesy offered by law enforcement in lieu of throwing your ass in jail. What you're signing is a promise to appear in court. It allows you to essentially post bond with your signature instead of having to go to intake and post the bond there. It also allows you to keep your license.
2) When you refuse to sign your promise to appear in court then you, asshat, need to come in to the station and post bond.
3) The asshat who tried to hide behind his pregnant wife was accused of violating a law by a sworn officer of the law. His demand that the officer escort him while they reviewed the posted speed limits etc. was outlandish. You have a right to a speedy trial but not right there on the scene.
4) The jerk is lucky he didn't have a gun pointed at him after wandering back to his car and motioning towards his pocket. It's VERY clear on the video that the guy has his right hand making gestures towards his pocket. Suspects have been shot with real guns for doing this. Police officers have been killed because they ignored such gestures.
When are we as a society going to stop continually demonizing law enforcement?
If you're going to speed be a man about it when your busted.
