It's Time For Duct Tape

I'm sorry. I know I just came off a call for the burning down of a public library. But can I have another beer and order the duct taping of Helen Thomas' mouth?

Actually, Dana Perino--The Helen Torturer Herself--is much easier to get right now than duct tape ever since Home Depot started closing at 10pm.

So let's just use the human mouth shutter upper for now. WATCH THIS VID!

Dishonest Scum

They are artists Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese.

Their M.O.?: Hate Through Art.

As early as 1994 they were doing drive bys on religious people. Click here for that backround.

Today, thanks to the support of taxpayer dollars from the citizens of New York, they are able to display their fascist propaganda against the Bush Administration. HERE's THE FULL STORY.

You see, there ARE actual mugshots of the likes of Sandy Berger, from the Clinton Administration. And there IS an actual charge of lying under oath against President Bill Clinton. But where does a picture of Bill Clinton wind up?

But Logarano and her cohort, thanks to public funds, have been allowed to pull a propaganda coup that Leni Riefenstahl would be proud of.

It's an entire display of fictitious mugshots representing obviously fictitious charges in the made up court of these fascist artists. It's the kind of totalitarian tactic that despots present and past would be proud of
In the absence of real evidence of any crime, the artists invent one. HEIL!

And Jihadists all over the world celebrate this mimicking of their own pre-head severing ritual.

Will famed New Yorker Al Sharpton object to the use of historically haunting imagery used to depict a black person? And where are the good people of Hispanic heritage to come to the defense of Alberto Gonzalez?

No, these are Republicans we're talking about. Sew an "R" into their clothes and herd them together. That's art, eh?

Free expression? Most certainly. Acceptable in a publicly funded building? Not at all.

Burn the New York City Public Library to the ground.

The "Shift In Tone" And Other Hilarious Stuff

Imagine reports of success in Iraq measured in how the Democrats will best deal with it as they seek their political fortunes. Only in the New York Times. Wow.
Now it appears the defeatist drumbeat and terrorist aiding propaganda was simply "tone."
Now we get it.
You have to see the disgrace to believe it.
Read and weep here.

Did You See This?

Did you see Fareed's Thanksgiving message to the U.S. in Newsweek, you know the same Newsweek giving troop hater Kos a platform?

It's another example of how the U.S. is constantl being asked to apologize instead of being lauded for all the good it does around the world.

I love one of the examples Fareed uses to prove how "unwelcoming" America is:

A tourist from New Zealand, Rick Giles, mistakenly overstayed his visa in America by a few days and found himself summarily arrested for six weeks earlier this fall.

So it's the U.S.'s fault that a guy who had the privilege of staying in the U.S. failed to notice the date he turns into a pumpkin? He's a victim? He's lucky he had a visa in the first place. The least he could do is honor it.

Rick Giles and Jared Massey would have fun together in the same cell.

Good Tasing, Bro.

It's hard to believe so many jackasses on one of my favorite sites, www.Hotair.com , are defending yet another prissy punk who wound up getting thumped by a cop after giving the officer a hard time.

It happened in Utah.

Here's the video.

Hotair authors and posters claim to be "conservative" and "common sense" but most of them described this incident as police brutality, claimed there was no threat made by the man, and called the cop a thug.

Here's what the ignoramouses missed.

1) Being asked to sign a ticket is actually a courtesy offered by law enforcement in lieu of throwing your ass in jail. What you're signing is a promise to appear in court. It allows you to essentially post bond with your signature instead of having to go to intake and post the bond there. It also allows you to keep your license.

2) When you refuse to sign your promise to appear in court then you, asshat, need to come in to the station and post bond.

3) The asshat who tried to hide behind his pregnant wife was accused of violating a law by a sworn officer of the law. His demand that the officer escort him while they reviewed the posted speed limits etc. was outlandish. You have a right to a speedy trial but not right there on the scene.

4) The jerk is lucky he didn't have a gun pointed at him after wandering back to his car and motioning towards his pocket. It's VERY clear on the video that the guy has his right hand making gestures towards his pocket. Suspects have been shot with real guns for doing this. Police officers have been killed because they ignored such gestures.

When are we as a society going to stop continually demonizing law enforcement?
If you're going to speed be a man about it when your busted.

A Bull Moose Thanks...And No Thanks.

Natalie
(pictures coming)

First of all this Thanksgiving gives us a special gift in the form of Natalie Kathleen--all (now) 4lbs/12oz of her--who has now been freed of her feeding tube and oxygen tubes and is wide eyed and feisty enough to fight me over the changing of her diaper. Four days after her illustrious early arrival she is now as hungry as an ox and ready--but not yet able--to get out of her "box" except for feedings and short snuggle times.
The sight of her staring into her mother's eyes tonite in recognition of the voice she heard for oh so many months in the womb was a thanks-giving moment to remember forever.

Yet, for every moment of difficulty for her and for us there are many more of God's blessings struggling more mightily than our dear daughter.
There are many more parents who have a harder time sleeping than we had.

For every breath and blink from our sweet Natalie
we say a prayer for those children who are not yet so improved and for those parents who are not yet so relieved.

Embryos

I had to REALLY DIG to find it (no Post, not even popular conservative sites promote the story) but kudos to the oft maligned New York Times for breaking good scientific news regarding critical Stem Cell tissue created without the use of embryos.
This SHOULD be good news to all. But will it really be good news to all of those in Missouri and around the country who have financial investments in the future use of embryos for Stem Cell research? You really think all of those who invested monetarily in the passage of Amendment 2 in Missouri are going to suddenly give up on promoting their industry in the face of solid alternatives? Not a chance. There is too much money invested, too much money to be made.

Soldiers
This can't be true. But it is. The military asking for bonuses back from soldiers who can no longer serve. The reason they can no longer serve? They lost limbs or were otherwise taken out by enemy fire in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Here's the story from Pittsburgh. Why this is not making major news is beyond me.

Baby

Our baby came five weeks early tonite. I'll post as soon as I can. Your prayers are most welcome.

Domestic Terrorists

Awww. Am I being too hard on our elected representatives?

Government basically has one job. Protect its citizens.
Military funding, public safety and health, and corporate regulation for the purposes of public safety are all worthwhile government endeavors.

First Lady libraries, Charlie Rangel policy institutes, and, yes, "abstinence education programs" are all wastes of taxpayers dollars, especially when in the form of lawmaker driven earmarks.

Here's a great New York Times expose of how your elected representatives raid the Treasury for every whim.

Here's the challenge for you conservative minded proponents of smaller government: you support abstinece education. So how do you protest an Arlen Spector earmark for it?

Arlen Spector is sending the nearly one million to cronies who helped him get elected who just happen to be proponents and developers of abstinece education programs.
That's why you protest.
You protest to remain consistent so that even your own pet interests do not outweigh your interests in the overall sanctity of your Government and Country.

Wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars isn't ok just because Republicans happen to be doing it in the name of allegedly Conservative causes.

So what can you do to fight?

Deadbeats In A Democratic Republic

McCain, Clinton, Biden, Obama, Dodd.

None of them voted in the Senate confirmation vote for Attorney General nominee Michael Mukasey.

Is there any reason except illness, family emergency or death to be absent for a vote in the Senate.
I didn't say "important" vote because I believe every vote is important.

Or is it?

Heartbreakingly enough I received an email excusing the deadbeats .

He called himself a "conservative Republican", perhaps guessing that he gained further credibility by being not just a normal, average everyday  stupid American citizen but a conservative Republican stupid citizen.

Here's what he said. Get out your sick bags:

"It is a common practice for Presidential candidates that are away from Washington campaigning not to vote on important issues if their vote is not going to change the outcome. The leaders of their parties in the Senate tell them their vote is not required."

And we want to deport illegal immigrants?
I say thin the herd and just have all Americans who subscribe to this view come forward for their exit papers. That's after we give the Senators their exit papers too.

This matters. The act of neglecting to vote is disturbing. Excusing it is even worse.

Your thoughts?

THANK YOU

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINE CORPS!
