What the Heck? Was this not expected? Since Bhutto returned, how many attempts have been made on her life? Don't get me wrong, please, I do not advocate her death and wish the (Radical Islamic?) environment in Pakistan didn't support that. But Come On, numerous attempts had been made, and if I'm not completely misled, there were folks out there saying that they would kill her if she did come back. She sacrificed herself as a Martyr in the hopes that it would affect change in Pakistan. I only hope her sacrifice isn't for naught.
Now, how in the world could any of out Presidential hopefuls be taken by surprise by this? The mere fact that they didn't realise this would happen is surreal. I thought these folks were supposed to be aware of world events. NOT Presidential material in my book.

Is anyone esle getting sick and tired of trying to understand/beleive the thought process used by these islamic nut bags? Ofcourse there are the "peaceful" muslims but let's be realistic. Jamie hit the nail on the head by pointing out that she poked her body out of the roof of an armoured car. Actions speak louder than words.
Had Musharaff forced her to cancel any of her events siting "security concerns", he would have been demonized for that as well. So no matter what he did he would have been demonized.
Hillary is all but doing a victory lap because she had personally met Bhutto several times when Slick Willy was in office. in her mind that qualifies her as the most knowledgable foreign policy wonk of the entire field. When wil someone in the press start point out that the big reason for the fear of instability in Pakistan is because they have nukes which were brought on-line in 1997...when Slick was in office?

Omy Gosh! There is rioting and violence in a predominately Islamic country and so far there have been no "Death to America" or "The US is Satan" callouts. Yet. Could it be that the Islamic sheep in Pakistan finally have someone other than the US to blame for their own problems????

The UN is run by primarily Muslim dictators and European socialists who would just as soon see the US go it alone. We need to pull out and quit pouring money into that corrupt organization. Unfortunately, Bush didn't have the balls to stand behind Bolton and fight to get him confirmed as UN ambassador.
Actually, this Bolton deal may have been intentional on Bush's part. Bush has since shoved this global warming agreement up our butts and is trying to get the Law Of The Sea treaty ratified with his buddy Biden acting as the point man in the senate; both of which Bolten would have vehemently opposed.

Nukes on Pakistan are a world problem however, another country who should also be concerned about this is China. India has nukes and Pakistan has nukes, right in their back yard..China is lazy in the world's problems..talk about coming out smelling like a rose?? China is going to be pivotal in all of this eventually..

Even through that tough position for us to be in...we will have to act to secure the nukes, whether we have support or not. Even with the success in Iraq and Afghanistan we will yet have another precarious situation with another Muslim country....

I am ready for anything and I am all for pushing our foot harder on the neck of these bastards... The radical bastards have not even begun to see the power we have at our disposal.. I am sure some would say I sound like a war monger, but I am looking for ending this fight once and for all so my kids are not dealing with these F***ing retards in their adult lives.
The fight is now. I also want to say that I have seen first hand what Pakistan has done for us as an ally. When I was in Somalia it seemed we had more Pakistani's soldiers than any other ally at the time...it may have been location.. Nineteen Pakistani's were killed in a shoot out with Somali's at "Mogadishu University" They are a great ally to us in this fight on terror...they have to do more though to run Al-Qaida out of their country... I always have reservations on how hard they are trying and why we don't have Bin Laden and how many in their forces or government are Al-Qaida sympathizers...
2008 is going to be pivotal in so many ways it's staggering. Elections, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan... I pray that whoever is elected doesn't play into the hands of the libtards and they see what we are truly up against and the future our children could face with pacifist attitude or the denial of the seriousness of radical Islam.

Right on, LT. Unfortunately, it will come down to electing someone with the courage and the will to unleash our true military might without constraints.
Sadly, no major candidate in either party will be willing to do that absent a major attack on our soil. Duncan Hunter maybe, but he is light-years down in the polls from the rest of the pack. Obama is idealistically so far left he makes George McGovern look like General Patton. Clinton, Edwards, and the 5 main Republican contenders will be too busy fleecing the Golden Goose, should any of them get elected, to really care about pre-emptively winning WW III in the name of nationalism. Rudy would probably be our best bet AFTER an attack, however.

I still don't understand the "Paul-ites" claiming that we shouldn't be there in the first place (in Iraq), and the problems there are not any of our business. Excuse me, but Freedom IS our business.
